Tom Bearpark

I'm a PhD student at Princeton using econometrics to investigate the impacts of extreme weather and climate change.

My current research projects include:

  • A study on the mortality costs of urban flooding and extreme rainfall in Mumbai, India.

  • An evaluation of the relationship between hurricanes, temperature, and consumption patterns in the US.

  • An analysis of the ways in which weather and beliefs about climate influence migration patterns and migration location choices.

  • Developing new tools estimating the casual relationship between climate and economic and social outcomes.
